Brainstorm Of Film Idea

We had the idea of the bank robbery but this wasnt the story that we really wanted to tell. So we as a group desided to come together and come u

1. A person gets fired and goes crazy and kills people.

2. A sunday league footballer that misses a goal in front of a scout and misses a chance to turn into a premier league star.

3. A foreign student comes to England on his first day of school.

4. A day in the life of a stock broker during recession.

Idea Number 4.

We chose this idea because it is best suited to the specification and it was more relevant to current events in Britain. This idea gives us the freedom to explore different scenarios that the character may face such as his journey to work. Also the story was a better vehicle for a character development. Also the story was really something that we could expand on in terms of why he was fired and show how the different characters behave towards the main character. The story also achieves what we wanted to do in the specification which was to have a story with real meaning and depth to it.

Unlike the other 3 stories this idea allowed us to expand and incorporate different genres of film such as comedy, drama. Which is really exciting as we don’t have stick with one genre and explore the conventions of the genres and challenge them and see what happens, we’ll only do this if we felt that it helped the story and the development and understand of characters.
