A2 Specification

When we came back to 6th form we got are specification for the course, the specification was to show a 5 minute short film, that was a social document for modern Britain, this was challenging because there are so many themes that we could have gone down. Are original idea that we had was to do a crime thriller involving a bank robbery, but as a group we felt that this didn’t truely represent Britain and as students wasn’t a story we truely wanted to tell, we believed that there were better stories that we could tell that truely represented Britain that we know.

This however allows us to explore other ideas to do with British culture. Although there were many ideas that we came up with we as a collective group decided not to follow stereotypical and cliche ideas such as violence, drugs etc. We did this because we felt that with 5 minutes we could tell a meaning full story that people would look at and understand the message that were trying to get across to are audience. We are aining are film at students (16-26) because we fell that it wouldn’t be wise to try and tell a story about a Britain that we don’t know about. This age group is prefect as we can relact and tell a story about things that are effecting use now.
